Blue Devils tykes claim Ontario A lacrosse title in dramatic fashion
Submitted By Tyler Turner on Monday, August 19, 2019
The London Blue Devils tyke box lacrosse team won the Ontario A championship in dramatic and historic fashion this past week.

Down 4-2 in the third period of the title game, the group of 2011 and ’12-born players rallied to outscore the Peterborough Lakers 6-1 for an 8-5 victory with Gavin Toole providing the winning goal.In their semifinal against Burlington, goaltender Cameron Poustie made a game-saving breakaway stop in sudden death before Logan Tallevi buried the overtime tally. This was the first championship win for a London Minor Lacrosse Association team, established in 1962, at the top level of the sport in Ontario. The provincials were held as part of the Ontario Lacrosse Festival in Durham Region. The Blue Devils players, who finished with a 30-6 record, are Poustie, Tallevi, Toole, Reid Yost, Jake Holbrough, Ben Low, Cameron Scott, Jack Tweedie, Desmond Kublinskas, Hardy Powers, Tyson Gabrielle, Tiernan DesRosiers, Carter Pero, Colton Haughian, Clayton Jeffries and Joshua Kocher. The coaching staff included Jeremy Tallevi, Jody Holbrough, Jon Low, Curt Yost, Dean Jeffries, Ken Poustie and Dave Kocher.
