We Want You! Referees and Timekeepers Needed
If you’re 14 or turning 14 during 2022 and looking to earn some extra money, then we have the perfect job for you!

Looking to make some money and secure a great summer job opportunity? Then becoming a lacrosse referee or timekeeper is just for you!

 

Officiating clinic registration is now open with various available dates to best fit your schedule. When registering, there are a few minor charges that you will have to incur, which are:

 

1. A $75 non-refundable base fee that registers you to the Ontario Lacrosse Association (OLA) - this covers insurance, operating costs, and supports ongoing officiating-related programs.

 

2. A $15 non-refundable fee directed to the Ontario Lacrosse Officials Association (OLOA) - this is used to support the officiating experience.

 

3. A $50 fee for each sector you choose to become certified in - this amount is sector-specific to support certification costs.

 

These fees allow the OLA to provide you with first-class programs and services to be the best official you can be. Additionally, if you are over 18 as of 2022, a Criminal Record Check (CRC) is required. 

 

If you are a returning and have previously submitted a CRC or an offense declaration form, you can complete the 2022 offense declaration form inside your registration. If you're 18+ and either didn't officiate last year or never have, you will have to submit a new CRC. Last, if you are under 18, you do not need to complete any screening forms for this season. 


All training sessions will take place on Zoom and dates are as follows:

Box Officiating Clinics:

Entry Level - March 26, April 2, April 9, April 16, April 23, April 30, LAST CHANCE May 7

Levels 1, 2, & 3 - March 29, March 31, April 5, April 7, April 12, April 14, April 19, April 21, April 26, April 28

Officials must complete all associated requirements in order to receive full qualification. Registration space may be limited by provincial regulations for many of these clinics. Registration for each session is closed one week prior to each clinic date.
