Your 2019 Bantam Rep Team gets underway with Try-outs starting February 23rd. With floor time available to us, we are starting try outs early this year. The Bantam 1 team will have 5 try-out dates with the hope that aspiring players can attend the majority of them. This will allow me to gauge each try-out for participation, therefore allowing all registered players a fair chance at making the team.
Try-outs will be a combination of skill evaluating drills and scrimmages. Players will be evaluated on lacrosse IQ, stick skills, speed, endurance, team work, dedication and coach-ability. We will not be selecting only goal scorers, we will be selecting the right players for the TEAM atmosphere that will help to enhance our competitiveness.
The 2019 Bantam 1 team will be competing at a high level, requiring a high level of commitment and dedication to team practices, practicing at home, team work, tournaments and zone games. The team will be practicing on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 1-1.5 hours. Exhibition games with A centres will be scheduled to increase our competitiveness and work on our game play in preparation to tournaments and provincials.

May 24-26- 2019 Laker Classic, Peterborough, ON *Updated
June 21-23- The Barry Burman Summer Shootout, Orangeville, ON
June 28-30- The Bud Donovan Memorial Tournament, Oakville, ON
One of the goals of this team is to qualify for the A provincials, if we are fortunate enough to make the top 16 in Ontario, the A qualifiers tournament will be attended in Kitchener on July 19-20 and in Whitby on August 3-4.
If we remain at the B level, we will attend B Provincials in Whitby on August 2-4.
