About Girls Field Lacrosse

Girls field lacrosse is a little different from boys field lacrosse. It is a non-contact sport focusing on the finesse of running, passing, catching, and play-making.

Girls Field Lacrosse is an outdoor non-contact sport primarily played in the spring and summer throughout Ontario .  The game is played outdoors on a soccer sized field and in its true form it is 12 v 12 players on the field.  Younger ages play a modified smaller sided version of the game

Our girls field lacrosse program is a development program, focusing on building fundamental skills, and a love of the game.

Girls Field Lacrosse Programs
Girls House League Field Lacrosse
  • No experience necessary
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30-8:00 at Lucas SS
  • 11 weeks: Tuesday, June 7 – Thursday, August 11
  • Each night will consist of 1 hour skills followed by a 30 minute game
  • Each player will receive a pinnie, t-shirt, and sweater with registration
Girls Rep Field Lacrosse
  • No experience necessary, however, there may be tryouts depending on registration numbers
  • Practices Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30-8:00 at Lucas SS
  • Starting Tuesday, April 12 – Thursday, August 11 (weather depending on start date)
  • Travel to tournaments in Ontario (locations include: Owen Sound, KW, Oshawa, Orangeville, and Halton, with more details and locations to follow)
  • Tournament play will start May 28/29 with provincials for U15 July 15-17 and provincials for U11/U13 July 22-24
  • Other than provincials U11/U13 game play will be held Saturdays and U15 game play will be held Sundays with the possibility of one midweek game
  • No teams will play July 2-3
  • Each practice night will consist of 1 hour skills with your rep team followed by a 30 minute game mixed with the other rep and house league players
  • Each player will receive a pinnie, t-shirt, sweater, skirt for game play, and socks for game day with registration
Equipment Details
Equipment Needed for Girls House League and Rep
  • Goggles and mouth guards are mandated by London Lacrosse and must be worn at all times when playing
  • Mouth guards cannot be clear or white, they must be of some colour
  • Girls field lacrosse sticks are different from boys box/field lacrosse and girls box, please see pictures below
  • It is also recommended that you wear cleats rather than running shoes
