Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and help strengthen your ties to the community while broadening your support network.  It also exposes you to other people with common interest, neighborhood resources all the while being fun and fulfilling. By volunteering you add great value to our organization which supports children, parents and the community.  This provides you with a natural sense of accomplishment.  Taking this opportunity also provides you with social inclusion and skill development which leads to a better neighborhood, community and city!


Whether you are a parent looking to help out or a student looking to get your 40 hours of community service for high school, we need you!  You can use us a reference for your resume!

VOLUNTEER AREAS EXPLAINED
 


Girls Field Lacrosse:

Assistant coach: assist with practices with head coach's discretion, help with development of athletes, other duties as needed

Equipment Manager: Give out equipment as need tracking where each piece goes and collection of equipment when needed.

 


Boys Field Lacrosse:

Team parent rep: will serve as a liaison between coaching staff and parents of the athletes.  Helps in the distribution of communication between the club, coaches and parents.
 

Team social media rep: will update board members of scores, games, photos of the team

Gameday operations: assist with running games with duties such as score keeper, time keeper, ball fetching and other duties as needed.

Tournament operations: assist duties such as score keeping, time-keeping, result updating and liaison with other teams. 


Boys Box Lacrosse:
 

Team parent rep: will serve as a liaison between coaching staff and parents of the athletes.  Helps in the distribution of communication between the club, coaches and parents.

House League:

Equipment Manager:

Coaches:  Run the team/bench.  To instruct athletes on the fundamentals of lacrosse in a fun and positive manner.  Coaches arrive early to games and practices and stay until all athletes have been picked up.

Gameday operations: assist with running games with duties such as score keeper, time-keeper, ball fetching and other duties as needed.

Sign in desk attendant:
Sign in athletes to all games and practices.

Day of champions: organize team pictures, hand out awards, and setup and takedown.

Event volunteer:
  Assist in fun games such as fastest shot, accuracy type of activities with a giveaway for the winner
