What equipment is required for Box?
CSA-approved box helmet & facemask, mouthguard, gloves, arm pads, shoulder pads, athletic support, stick. Goalies: association gear may be available—ask the Equipment Director.

Girls stick, goggles, coloured mouthguard (no clear/white). Cleats recommended. See Girls Field page for details.

Refunds follow the association policy. See How to Register and Policies & Forms for details.

Use our Ages & Fees page (birth-year chart for 2026).
My child is new to lacrosse — where should we start?
Start with Box Development (House) or a seasonal Clinic. No experience required.
What nights are practices and games?
Final times are posted on the Organization Calendar. Typical rhythms: Box Dev ~1–2×/week at Nichols; Field ~2–3×/week at Citywide (spring).
Can my child play both Box and Field?
Yes. Field runs in spring; Box runs spring–summer. Some overlap can occur — coordinate with coaches.
Can we switch programs after registering?
Usually possible early in the season if space allows. Email [email protected]. Refunds follow association policy (see How to Register).
Is financial assistance available?

What’s the weather policy for Field?
Rain usually proceeds; lightning = delay/cancel. Updates go to the Calendar and team email.
Can we request teammates or carpooling?
You can note requests during registration; we try to accommodate while balancing teams. No guarantees. Questions? [email protected].
How do I volunteer?
Start here: Volunteer Sign-Up. Bench staff require VSS: VSS info.
Are uniforms included?
Rep teams usually coordinate uniforms after teams are formed; costs vary by year and are communicated by team staff. House scrimmage pinnies are provided at sessions where applicable.
We missed a tryout — what now?
Check the Tryouts page for remaining sessions. If none remain, email your program lead to ask about evaluations at practice.
Can my child “play up” a division?
Age movement is limited and must follow OLA policies and association approval. Decisions consider safety, numbers, and development.
Which arenas/fields do you use?
Box: typically Nichols Arena. Field: typically Citywide Fields (spring). Always confirm on the Organization Calendar.
How do teams communicate?
Email and the website pages are primary. Check your team page and the Calendar weekly.
How do out-of-association transfers work?
Transfers follow OLA policies. Email the Registrar: [email protected] for guidance.
